Founded in 1967, Trans-Acc, Inc. began its business by serving the transportation industry.

Its founder, Walter Weinkam, started the business after serving in the military during WWII and following a successful career at a local metal stamping and fabricating business serving the automotive industry. Trans-Acc (short for transportation accessories) has become a leading provider of metal pretreatments and coating solutions serving industries throughout the country.

Walter’s son John has been directing the growth of this family business since 1995. Under his leadership, the company has grown to serve customers of all sizes throughout the Midwestern United States. In particular, the company has grown to become a leading source for military CARC coatings.

The company offers over 50,000 combined square feet of production space incorporating multiple coating lines to meet all sizes and quantities of manufactured parts. Our ability to offer value-added services along with quick turnaround, high-quality standards at a fair price makes for a cost-effective finish. Satisfied end-use customers of Liquid Coating and Powder Coating services include companies supporting military, commercial, automotive, medical, food service and aerospace industries.

Trans-Acc continues to build on its success by maintaining a leadership role in new coating technology and application techniques.
