Powder coatings can produce thick, consistent finishes without the runs or drips associated with some liquid coatings. The process can also provide strong resistance to impacts, moisture, chemicals, ultraviolet exposure, and other sources of wear, depending on the coating formulation and application. Overspray may also be recoverable in certain powder coating operations, helping improve material utilization.
