Some substrates, particularly non-ferrous, require an intermediate process between cleaning and priming for painting.
Trans-Acc regularly incorporates Metal Pretreatment Services for the majority of ferrous and all non-ferrous surfaces.
Trans-Acc will pre-treat depending on specification or application, as required. Pretreatment enhances corrosion resistance of these surfaces, as well as the adhesion of the coating material. To ensure the quality of our pretreated substrates, we perform a range of testing operations, including water break testing, accelerated corrosion resistance testing, salt spray testing, and dry adhesion testing.
Trans-Acc offers Metal Pretreatment Services to customers requesting one of our coating services, or as a stand-alone service.

Benefits of the CARC-L Coating System
As published by NCSSI in “The Benefits of the CARC-L Coating System,” CARC-L coatings provide chemical resistance, durability, and enhanced protection in demanding environments. The system is designed to resist chemical agents and withstand harsh operational conditions while maintaining long-term performance. CARC-L coatings are widely used in defense and industrial applications where corrosion resistance and… [Read More]
Liquid Nylon for Impervious Coating Protection
As published by Corrosionpedia in “How Liquid Nylon Can Create an Impervious Coating Barrier,” liquid nylon coatings are designed to form a pinhole-free, seamless barrier that protects surfaces from corrosion and environmental exposure. When properly applied, the coating bonds to the substrate and creates a durable layer that resists moisture, chemicals, and abrasion. Liquid nylon… [Read More]
Why CARC Paint Is Used in Harsh Environments
As published by TGC Company in “What Are the Benefits of CARC Paint?”, Chemical Agent Resistant Coating, known as CARC paint, is designed to withstand extreme environmental conditions and exposure to chemical agents. The coating provides protection against corrosion, solvents, and decontamination processes. CARC paint is commonly used in military and defense applications where durability… [Read More]
The Durability Advantages of Powder Coating
As published by the Powder Coating Institute in “Durability of Powder Coating,” powder coating is recognized for its resistance to chipping, scratching, corrosion, and fading. The coating is applied as a dry powder and cured under heat, forming a tough, uniform finish that performs well in demanding environments. Powder coating is widely used in industrial,… [Read More]
